Description
The melt pump plays a crucial role in stabilizing and pressurizing the plastic melt that comes from the extruder at high temperatures. It ensures a consistent and steady melt flow into the extruder head. This one performs better in stabilizing melt pressure and flow than other extruders.
Melt pumps are used in rubber and plastic extrusion lines; the main function is reflected in the following four aspects.
1, stabilizing the output pressure —– can reduce the extruder parameters caused by the material output instability and pressure pulsation.
2, improve product quality —– will reduce the size tolerance of the extruded products to a smaller size and reduce waste and scrap rate. Ordinary extruders can also produce high-precision products.
3、Improve the extrusion output —– reduces the pressure requirement of the screw, from the original screw to the die head to build pressure, to melt pump to the die head to build pressure, the screw can be extruded at high speed and can be adjusted to the extruder back pressure, reduce the time of the melt in the screw barrel, stabilize the process of plasticization, reduce the melt temperature, improve the output and quality of the products.
4, reduce the unit energy consumption —– There are data showing that it will be the same direction twin-screw pelletizing extruder and melt pump combination, its mixing quality and output than a separate twin-screw pelletizing unit significantly increased. Processing each kilogram of material energy consumption can generally be reduced by about a quarter.
